Since I was young...

Since I was young, I've had a thing for art & design. I grew up wanting to be an illustrator of children storybooks, and my favourite thing to draw was mermaids ~ Meet the little mermaid on the cover of my primary one art folio (˘ᵕ˘)

OOOH ~

For a season of my life, I enjoyed editing photos that played on imagination. I could easily spend hours editing these images as gifts for my family & friends. Looking back, these images continue to evoke a sense of wonder in me.

One of the best decisions!

One of the best decisions of my life was to study Industrial Design at the National University of Singapore. The years at NUS fundamentally shaped the way that I understand design, and established my approach towards problem solving.

Working abroad ~

I had the opportunity to join a technology start up in Beijing as a design intern for a year. From the UIUX of an operating system, to visuals for a kickstarter campaign, this year-long internship greatly expanded my exposure to different fields of design.

Designing for needs!

After graduation, I was part of a design research to develop a blueprint for future-ready nursing homes. This experience demonstrated for me the impact of using design to identify needs & opportunities that can greatly transform lives.

Proud to be a designer :')

I ventured into digital product design and got to witness senior designers around me assume the many roles of advocate, facilitator, strategist, and visionary, to inspire change for our users. I want to be able to do the same; I'm proud to be a designer :')

Since 2019, my friends & I (also known as 'Ministry of Hope Affairs') have been working together to tackle the issue of social isolation among seniors in Singapore. With the support from National Council of Social Service (NCSS), we are working with different organisations to develop Senior Active Force Singapore, a senior army that's empowered to stay fit, make friends & impact society.

I started a recreational basketball team 'Famballers', where friends gather weekly to exercise, eat & journey through life together!

Plants are a gift! I'm no expert, but I love my little green corner at home, and try my bestest to keep these little trees alive!

It's a blessing to be able to meet new people & experience new cultures... I'd be delighted to go on these adventures again :')
